The Red and Blue Alliances of three teams each compete in a competition in which they must collect 6" game balls and score them in trailers attached to the opposite alliance's robots. The playing surface has low friction, causing players to compete with the forces of physics. Additional points can be scored by scoring a special game ball called a Super Cell within the last 20 seconds of the game.

OverdriveOverdrive 2008

The Red and Blue Alliances of three teams each complete in a race counter-clockwise around a track. The robots must also knock down and carry large spheres called Trackballs, which must go over / under an overpass at two points on the track. Additional points are given to a robot that can place the Trackball back on top of the overpass before the end of the match. The overpass is 6' 6" and have two parallel bars which support the Trackball.
